A general London-bound view of the station just after refurbishment and the removal of the footbridge roof. The signal in the foreground was one of a series that authorised propelling movements into the ''Redland Aggregates'' siding, which was accessed via a trailing connection in the ''up'' line, situated about 120 metres south of the station. © David Morgan

A splendid close-up of the main building, the roof of which had recently been re-slated. The timber portion of this building, underneath the canopy, has since been removed. © David Morgan

The station frontage viewed from the appropriately named ''Chatham Hill Road''. In more recent times, construction of the new Bat & Ball Road through the former goods yard resulted in demolition of the flat roofed extension that had been added to the front of the station house. © David Morgan
